The theme of the project comes from the analysis of the genesis of a valley system, and from the management and observation of waters systems typical of regions such as Yunnan, apt to dry climates and sub-tropical temperatures, alternating with a few months of torrential downpour. The project involves the management and control of water through the creation of an important basin, in controlled regime, which overlooks the whole built system. A sort of valley between the valleys. The existing water system is divided into two sub-systems that convey water flows into the main channel, which drains the whole area water flows. The first subsystem is orthogonal to the channel, the second has a more irregular shape, inspired by the geomorphologic trend.
The design concept foresee the transformation of the main channel in a regular water basin, around which every main buildings will be placed.
The floors are divided into three types: the decking is used for all paths on the green, or for courses on water, the stone to the more frequented areas, where there are also trees and benches, and finally stabilized for the paths of service to crops.
The site building will be hide and protect by small surroundings hills and has the inner core in the water lake. Outside, along the highway, we are going to sign the green walls with horizontal continuous lighting signs in order to increase the perception of speed. Inside we create a peaceful atmosphere and the central focus is on the water surface. At the end we decided to not illuminate the water surface from inside; because we want to maximize the reflection and refraction of the light on water itself.
We are going to use the lake as a mirror to reflect on it all lighted buildings. In addition we added a touch of lighting atmosphere on the green side of the lake where the vegetation comes into water. All architectural light is smooth and comes from far, light is not placed on facade surface.
